PROGRAM GOALS

AHEAD Strategic Plan – Long Range Goals

AHEAD Foundation has actively addressed and updated its strategic plan. Using this working document, we have focused on the following program goals:

Goal One : Promote the academic success of children from the Massillon Community.

Goal Two : Provide a social and emotional climate that enhances and encourages learning.

Goal Three : Ensure the sustainability of AHEAD in its vision, mission, and the service to the Massillon Community.

In its effort to reduce barriers to learning AHEAD engages in the following activities:

Social Service Intervention - provides direct support to students and families, Massillon City Schools and community, also coordinates and distributes information for district personnel

Program Development – develops programs and services that enhance student achievement by increasing supports and reducing barriers to learning – through programs such as CARE TEAM, Teen Screen, Life Skills training, counseling, and more

Community Collaboration – partners with community organizations to build relationships, stretch resources and identify/meet the needs of the community

Resource Development – engages in activities that increase resources to student through local, state and federal grant writing and community partnerships

Long-term Program Goals: Graduation and Self Sufficiency

By supporting our endowed approached to programming, problems can be addressed and students can focus on what they are in school to do - learn skills that will lead to graduation and self sufficiency.
